Brightside helps young people who need it most to make confident and informed decisions about their future. We find and train the best mentors, connect them with young people and support them as they work together through our award-winning programmes.
On-line mentoring means that it can be accessed from anywhere and young people can contact their mentor at anytime.
There are a number of different subject areas for mentor and mentees to be involved with:
Higher education exploration and application-Mentees communicate with their mentor online whilst working through a series of activities which help them to understand their post 18 education options. The project starts mid-February and ends on the UCAS deadline
Sector insight/ virtual work experience- gives the participants a focused insight into an area of work or study identified by the Essex skills board. Runs for 4-6 weeks starting mid-February and mid-April and cover engineering, financial and related services, health care and HE Exploration.
