In a word: no.
You don’t need to be a straight-A grade student to benefit from uni. What you do need is to be hardworking, dedicated and passionate about your chosen course.
Universities will publish their entry requirements in their prospectuses and online. Normally these are expressed as A-level or BTEC grades, and sometimes they’ll include UCAS points too. Check them out to see if their attainable, and if you’ve got any questions, get in touch with an Admissions Advisor who’ll be able to help you further.
Don’t get us wrong, academic grades are important (so keep working hard!), but plenty of universities will also take other things into consideration, such as relevant work experience.
And remember, if you can achieve the entry grades, you’re capable of succeeding on a degree.
